AERA’s 100th Conference in Washington, D.C. – April 8-12, 2016

At first blush, attending sessions by a steady stream of educational researchers doesn’t sound like a great time.  I was pleasantly surprised!  It wasn’t like taking your vitamins because it’s good for you.

The theme of this conference was public scholarship and making research relevant and useful to practitioners.  In plain language, they advocated collaborating with educators and publishing on multiple platforms including social media.  That’s a far cry from a steady diet of obscure academic journals.

IgniteInnov-miniI presented a :90 hands-on workshop at the Ignite Innovation Conference.  We focused on Innovation Age Communication (through words, graphics, data, and interactive media) with complimentary copies of Innovation Age Learning for workshop participants.
